About Vagad Radio

Community radio will honor the local culture, traditions, and interests in the local dialect (Vagdi), giving voice to the community in the backward Banswara district.

It will facilitate communication within the community, while at the national level it will encourage diversity, creativity, and participation of citizens in the democratic processes.

VAAGDHARA has implemented several development initiatives in the VAGAAD area of ​​Rajasthan. Management programs such as Sustainable Integrated Farming. It has learned from its experiences and used to learn to design new and better interventions.

In 2008, the idea of ​​applying for a CRS came into the organization because the level of awareness of the tribal community is relatively low and Vaagdhara wants to know the maximum community and want to develop a proper understanding of their rights but without electronic media (CRS) Will not be possible. During the intervention, we identified the gap between the government and the community, the community was very less aware of its rights and the rights of our children.

The maximum population of Banswara district is dependent on agriculture, they are marginalized, but they are not much aware of the permanent agricultural system and other means of agriculture. Through CRS, we can reach the maximum number of people at a time.
